Challenge
Advanced robotics, an approachable face
Teksbotics builds autonomous delivery robots for footpaths and streets, an environment where trust decides adoption faster than range or payload ever will. A robot that reads as purely mechanical unsettles the people sharing the pavement with it, especially children and older pedestrians. Teksbotics needed a form that signalled safety on sight, without slowing the sensor stack underneath.
Design cues a pedestrian reads in a glance
We split the body horizontally, lowering the visual centre of gravity so the vehicle reads as grounded and predictable before it moves. The LIDAR and sensor array, normally bolted on as visible hardware, we positioned to mirror a face. Eyes and features gave the robot a legible personality instead of a sensor cluster glued to a box.
Outcome
The Teksbotics platform is now on the ground, delivering packages in Saudi Arabia and China. A robot designed to be trusted on sight is now one people are comfortable sharing a footpath with.
