Krueger Transport Equipment founder John Krueger, was added to the Honour Roll for Service to Industry, and Catten Industries co-owner Latinka Cubbitt won the Woman Manufacturer of the Year award for her significant contributions to the precision sheet metal fabrication industry.
North Melbourne-based social enterprise Assembled Threads was awarded the Manufacturer of the Year (Small Business), while CSL took home the Manufacturer of the Year (Large Business) and Leader in Health Technologies awards.
Three new categories were introduced this year to recognise leaders in Textile, Clothing and Footwear, Construction Technologies and Gender Equality and Inclusion.
The evening also marked the launch of the Making it equal: Victoria’s Women in Manufacturing Strategy, which will support better recruitment, retention and advancement of Victorian women in the manufacturing industries where they’ve traditionally been underrepresented..
